A full year takes about three hours of play, so you will watch your settlement go through every season. Same island, same view: look at how much changes.
Spring
The thaw wakes the island
Trees leaf out again and crops grow at their fastest. Planting opens as soon as the snow is gone.
Crops grow about 15% faster than in summer
Bare branches turn green again
The thaw refills groundwater and eases tired soil
Long days, full canopy
The steady season for farming and building, and the season of thunderstorms.
Storms are most common; lightning can damage buildings
Fireflies drift over healthy islands at night
Every tree is in full leaf
Colour and falling leaves
Leaves turn orange and red and drift down from the trees. Growth slows, so it is time to stock up.
Colourful falling leaves
Crops grow about 20% slower than in summer
Winter is coming: put food by while the fields still give it
Snow, ice and quiet
Snow settles over the islands and the sea freezes. Nothing grows, and nothing can be planted until spring.
Footprints and paths wear into the snow
Walk across the frozen sea while boats wait for the thaw
Snow slows you down a little in deep drifts
The game
A settlement with real systems underneath.
Calmaria looks peaceful, but every pipe, crop and building has a job. Here is what you will be doing.
Settlement
Start with your hands. Build a home that works.
Gather wood, plant wheat and raise your first workshop, then grow into mills, bakeries, kitchens and a forge.
Lay out blueprints and deliver materials a little at a time, upgrade buildings through three tiers, and tear things down for a refund when your plans change.

Building upgrades
Farming and ecology
An island that answers back.
Every island has moisture, fertility and pollution, and every building and crop nudges them. Pumping water dries the ground, harvests tire the soil, trees clean the air and compost helps it recover.
Keep hens, cows and bees, and stand guard when worms and mites come for your fields and fences.

Water network
Design your own water network.
Pump your first well by hand, then store water in barrels and tanks and send it through wooden, metal and diamond pipes, even raised on gantries.
Sprinklers water the fields for you, pumps at the shore draw from the sea, and a steam generator turns water into power.
Prefer a personal touch? The garden hose waters crops by hand. Just mind the leaks from open pipe ends.

Weather
Rain, storms and snow.
Rain rolls in, darkens the scene and leaves the ground wet and shining while it waters your crops and refills the island's groundwater.
In a summer thunderstorm, lightning can strike and damage a building (it never destroys one), and the spot burns for a few seconds.
Winter brings snow instead. It does not water anything, but the deeper it piles, the stronger the spring thaw that refills your soil.

Dungeons
Descend into what lies beneath.
Dungeon entrances appear on the islands, and their look tells you what waits below: a stone crypt, a rocky cave or a mine shaft.
Cross rooms of timed traps, from spikes and fire jets to swinging blades, and face bosses whose attacks light up the ground before they land.
Open sealed chests with a key or by solving their puzzles, and carry the loot home.

Sailing
Cast off for new islands.
Build a dock and a boat, then sail the archipelago. Every island has its own character and resources, from iron and coal to diamonds.
Bigger boats carry more crew and cargo, a dock upgrade unlocks autopilot between docks, and cargo ships ferry goods between your islands.
Watch the calendar, though: when winter freezes the sea, boats stay put until the thaw.

Combat and growth
Fight your way, forge your gear.
Swing swords and two-handers, shoot bows or cast with staffs and wands, with fire, lightning and cold on top. Start as an Archer, Mage, Warrior or Farmer and grow your attributes as you go.
Craft and upgrade gear at the forge, and build fences and towers to protect your fields when the waves come.

Forge and upgrades
Automation
Let the island run itself.
Drone stations carry goods between your buildings, and farm drones harvest and replant your crops.
Settlers who sail in looking for a home can be invited to stay: they eat, sleep, help defend the island and take standing orders to plant, harvest or haul.
Steam generators and power poles bring electricity to your production buildings.

Co-op
Build it together.
Invite friends through Steam and share one world: one settlement, one level and one tech progression. The host runs the world and approves who joins.
Split the chores, one farming while another fights, then sail out together and take on dungeons that scale with your party.

FAQ
What to know about Calmaria: Wild Growth.
What is Calmaria: Wild Growth?
Calmaria: Wild Growth is a cozy island builder. You turn a bare shore into a living settlement: you farm, build your own water network, run production chains, sail between islands, explore dungeons and hand the chores to drones and settlers, while the seasons turn around you.
Is there a demo?
Yes. The free demo is available from the game's Steam page. It gives you about 2 hours of play on your first island, and it wraps up sooner if you sail away from that island. Co-op works in the demo too, as long as everyone has the same version.
How do the seasons work?
A full year takes about 3 hours of play, so each season lasts roughly 45 minutes. Crops grow fastest in spring and slowest in autumn, nothing grows or can be planted in winter, and the sea freezes over so you can walk on the ice while boats wait for the thaw. A bar at the top of the screen shows where you are in the year.
Is it cozy or survival?
Cozy in tone, with gentle pressure. You keep an eye on hunger and thirst, enemy waves go after your crops, fences and buildings, and dungeons offer a bigger challenge when you feel ready. Prepare well and the island stays calm.
Does it matter where I build?
Yes. Every island tracks moisture, fertility and pollution, and every building and crop shifts them. Pumping water dries the ground, harvesting tires the soil, trees clean the air and compost helps it recover, so your layout and your care change your harvests.
What can I automate?
Drone stations carry goods between buildings, farm drones harvest and replant your crops, and settlers you invite to stay can take standing orders to plant, harvest and haul. Later, steam generators and power poles bring electricity to your production buildings.
Can I explore beyond the first island?
Yes. Build a dock and a boat to sail the archipelago, where islands differ in soil, water and resources. Dungeon entrances on the islands lead underground to traps, bosses and sealed chests.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Invite friends through Steam, up to four players in one session, and share a single world, level and tech progression. The host runs the world and approves who joins, and everyone needs the same version of the game.
How does progression work?
You earn XP, level up and spend tech points to unlock the next buildings and recipes: water tools, boats, electricity, drones and more. A few milestones ask you to build something first, like a dock or a steam generator, so the settlement grows with you.
Which platforms and languages?
Calmaria: Wild Growth is made for Windows PC and distributed through Steam. The game is playable in English and Polish.
Where can I follow news?
