A happier patch of land

Where you plant matters as much as when you harvest.

Does the environment really affect my harvest?

Yes. Moisture and fertility improve local conditions; pollution makes them worse. A plant remembers the average conditions during its growth, and that quality affects its harvest loot chances. A green-looking island does not mean every field has the same conditions.

Keep a healthy growing area from the start; improving it only at harvest time will not erase its history.

Is planting close together better?

Nearby plants and buildings can influence one another through their surroundings. Wheat, for example, adds a little moisture and fertility nearby, so a grouped field can benefit from its neighbors. Trees and wells also have helpful influences. The effect fades with distance; a polluting neighbor can work against you.

Choose helpful neighbors. Simply packing any objects together is not a universal bonus.

Should I wait until a crop is fully grown?

Yes. Harvest rewards are reduced when you cut a plant before it finishes growing. Full growth removes that early-harvest penalty, but the environment still affects the loot roll. Maturity and growing conditions both matter.

Why are two fields on the same island different?

The island has an overall environmental state, but each plant also samples its own neighborhood. Local moisture, fertility and pollution can differ around trees, wells and buildings. Wet ground also contributes moisture. Use the island indicator as an overview, then consider what surrounds the field.

Water, weather & seasons

Work with the weather and plan ahead for winter.

Does rain water my crops?

Yes. Rain with sufficient intensity gradually fills the water needs of planted crops. It is not an instant refill the moment a shower begins. Check the crop’s watering state before spending time watering it yourself.

My crop stopped growing. What should I check?

First check its water needs and the season. Water-dependent crops have a growth limit tied to the water they have received. Seasons also change growth speed: spring is faster, autumn is slower, and winter stops normal outdoor plant growth. Better soil alone does not replace watering.

Can I plant during winter?

Outdoor planting is blocked in winter. Heavy snow cover can also block planting outside winter itself. Build up supplies beforehand and use the quieter growing season to work on production and your settlement.

What does “Spring 50%” mean?

It means you are halfway through spring, not halfway through the year. The cycle is spring, summer, autumn, winter, then spring again. Seasonal appearance and growth effects blend near the transition, so the scenery can start changing before the season name switches.

Know your character

Spend points on the things you actually enjoy doing.

Vitality: how does it help?

Vitality increases maximum health and passive health regeneration. It gives you more room for mistakes during combat and helps you recover health over time.

Strength: is it only for swords?

Strength improves physical damage from melee weapons and tools, knockback and stun chance. It also adds carrying slots. Its damage gains per point become smaller at higher investment levels.

Agility: movement, attacks or bows?

All three. Agility improves movement speed, attack speed and physical damage from bows and crossbows. Some benefits have diminishing gains or caps, so check the next-point preview before committing.

Focus: does it affect elemental weapons too?

Yes. Focus increases staff and wand damage, as well as the fire, lightning and cold damage added by any weapon. It also improves elemental effect chance and provides a smaller bonus to physical weapon damage.

Luck: am I guaranteed better drops?

Luck improves loot luck and quality modifiers where the loot system uses them. It changes your chances, not every individual result. A single ordinary drop does not mean the attribute failed.

Industry: what does a farming build gain?

Industry speeds up your planting, harvesting and building actions. It adds a chance for extra crop, wood and mining yield, plus a smaller physical damage bonus. It improves your own work; it is not a blanket speed multiplier for every production building.

Keep the settlement working

A stopped machine usually has a practical reason.

Why has a building stopped producing?

Check whether a recipe is selected, whether the required ingredients are in the building’s input slots, and whether there is room for its output. Buildings that require power also need a working supply. The building’s status tells you which condition is blocking it.

Do ingredients in my backpack feed a machine?

A production building checks its own inventory for recipe inputs. Move the ingredients into the appropriate input slots and collect finished goods from output slots. A full output can pause a cycle even when plenty of ingredients remain.

Where should I look for a recipe?

Select the building and inspect its available recipes and ingredient requirements. A recipe may still need a technology unlock. The item wiki is useful when you want to trace a material through its crafting chain.

Progress together

World progress opens possibilities; character points shape your role.

Why is a technology still locked?

Technology progress depends on the shared world level. Milestones can also require completed objectives and items. Open Technology and inspect the next milestone’s requirements rather than looking only at the experience bar.

How do I get more attribute points?

Your character receives attribute points as the world levels up, up to the attribute reward limit. Spend them in the character statistics panel. World progression is shared in co-op, while your allocated attributes belong to your character.

Can I change my attribute build later?

Yes. Attribute allocation can be reset for gold. The cost depends on how many points you have spent, with an upper limit. Check the displayed price before resetting, then redistribute your points for your current play style.

Choose your way to fight

Match your equipment and attributes to the damage you deal.

What is the difference between physical and magic damage?

Melee weapons, tools, bows and crossbows deal physical base damage. Staffs and wands deal magic base damage. Fire, lightning and cold additions count as magic damage even on an otherwise physical weapon, so one hit can contain both types.

Why does the next attribute point give a different bonus?

Several bonuses become smaller as you invest more points, and some have caps. The character panel previews what the next point adds at your current allocation. Compare that actual gain when deciding between more damage, survivability or gathering benefits.
